Victims rescued in Glenville
(C-Shift)
Approximately 0500hrs-Box alarm, 700 Block of East 113th st. Engine Co's 30 & 22, Hook & Ladder 30, Rescue Co 3, Chief of the 6th Battalion. Fire inside a 2.5 story wood frame single family home. Working fire dispatch: H&L 31 (RIT), E31 (Worker) , AC 1.
Crews successfully removed 3 trapped occupants. Rescue 3 transported 1 to Metrohealth medical center, where he ultimately died from his injuries.

Aggressive attack saves 2 homes
(B-Shift)
Approximately 1930hrs-Box alarm, 10600 Block of Olivet ave. Engine Co's 22 & 30, Hook & Ladder 30, Rescue Co 3, Chief of the 6th Battalion. Well involved- 2 car garage fire that extended to a nearby shed and 2nd garage. Crews were able to limit damage to the involved structures and the exterior of the 2 homes. 3 lines used. Handled with the box assignment

Victims rescued from Old Brooklyn House Fire
(C-Shift)
Approximately 0930hrs-Box alarm, 4200 Block of West 21st. Engine Co's 42 & 20, Hook & Ladder 20, Rescue Co 2, Chief of the 4th Battalion. Fire inside a 2.5 story wood frame, multi family house. Crews rescued 2 victims from the second floor. Rescue Co 2 transported 1 and CEMS transported the other. Working fire dispatch: H&L 4 (RIT), E24 (Worker) , AC 1. Red Cross called to assist the first floor family.
Ladder 42 was unable to respond because they were closed in 2011

Two Children rescued from House Fire by Cleveland Firefighters

2239hrs Box alarm, 6600 block of Dunham ave. Engine Co's 22 & 10, Tower 10, Rescue Co 3, Chief of the 6th Battalion. 2 .5 Story wood frame working fire, report of Children inside. Three children able to escape with baby sitter. Rescue Squad 3 and Tower 10 rescued 2 children from the attic. Five children taken to local hospitals. Working fire dispatch: H&L 30(RIT), E30 (Worker) , AC 1.
The nearest Engine (closed 2011) and Ladder (closed 2004) companies were closed at station 17.

Cleveland Mother killed in Morning Fire

0300hrs Box alarm, 3400 Block of East 66 Engine Co's 13 & 11, Ladder 11, Rescue Co 1, Chief of the 2nd Battalion. Initial crews were confronted with a heavy volume of fire inside a 2.5 story wood frame single family house, with report of a Family inside. Luckily the daughters were at Grandmothers house, but the Mother was not so fortunate and was killed. Working fire dispatch: H&L 7(RIT), E26(Worker) , AC 1.

Family escapes flames

0321hrs Box alarm, 942 East 131. Engine Co's 30 & 31, Ladder 30, Rescue Co 3, Chief of the 6th Battalion. Fire in a bedroom on the second floor. B6 arrived first and reported fire showing from second floor front window. Although this fire happened in a child's bedroom while the family was asleep, all family members were able to get outside to safety. Engine 30 laid out and pumped. |
