House Fire in Glenville

Approximately 1815hrs-Box alarm, 600 Block of east 126th street. Engine Co's 30 & 31, Hook & Ladder 30, Rescue Co 3, Chief of the 6th Battalion. Fire on the second floor of an occupied 2.5 story wood frame house. Working fire dispatch: H&L 10(RIT), E31 (Worker) , AC 1. |

"Mayday, Mayday, Mayday"
(B-Shift)
Approximately 0400hrs-Box alarm, 8700 Block of Capital ave. Engine Co's 26 & 10, Hook & Ladder 10, Rescue Co 1, Chief of the 2nd Battalion. Fire inside a 2.5 story wood frame house. Working fire dispatch: H&L 7(RIT), E41 (Worker) , AC 1.
Due to a sudden rapid advancement and growth of fire, E26 declared a mayday and at least one member made an emergency exit out of a second floor window. Luckily, a ladder had been previously placed at the sill of that window.
Rescue 1 and the RIT were sent in after the other members of E26. AC1 requested signal 2-2-2 Engine Co's 26 & 10, Hook & Ladder 10, Rescue Co 1, Chief of the 2nd Battalion) A fireground PAR of all members was conducted and all members were ultimately accounted for. 2-2-2 companies were returned to service. Special request for (1) Engine Co (E7), and (1) Hook and ladder (L11) |

Victim Removed From House Fire in Collinwood
(C-Shift)
Approximately 0300hrs-Box alarm, 900 Block of East 149th st. Engine Co's 31 & 30, Hook & Ladder 31, Rescue Co 3, Chief of the 6th Battalion. Fire inside a 2.5 story wood frame single family home. Working fire dispatch: H&L 30 (RIT), E40 (Worker) , AC 1.
Crews successfully removed 1 trapped occupant. Rescue 3 transported him to Metrohealth medical center, where he ultimately died from his injuries.
