The CFD Rescue Squad members recently underwent training in the use of Pet Oxygen Masks.
We should begin to receive the oxygen masks soon.
According to our Public Information Officer, Larry Gray, the members of 31's house recently
revived a family dog that was overcome by smoke during a house fire on "Castlewood ave" in the 6th battalion.

Less than 1/4 the Fire Department. We have enough but we need more. The more Orders
we have the bigger the book. We are close to submitting the book to the company and then it
will take 5 months for printing. We hope to have it by the end of the Summer.

FMLA for Military Personnel and Family Members
The first expansion of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) was signed into law on
January 28, 2008. Under this expansion, employers must offer up to 26 weeks of unpaid
leave to employees who provide care to wounded US military personnel. In addition, the
law requires employers to provide 12 weeks of leave to immediate family members
(spouses, children or parents) of solders, reservists and members of the National Guard
who have a "qualifying exigency."
